Attendance of China-Europe GNSS Technology Training and Cooperation Center (CENC) to the Eleventh Ch

China-Europe GNSS Technology Training and Cooperation Center (CENC) attended the Eleventh Chinese International Hi-tech Fair, held on Nov. 16-20, 2009. The Hi-tech fair was jointly sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the State Intellectual Property Right Office, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Municipal Government of Shenzhen, the Ministry of Agriculture also being involved as the cooperative, China Hi-Tech Transfer Center undertake this Show. About 106 delegations, more than 3000 exhibitors and 1800 investors from 49 countries and districts took part in the exhibition and negotiation referring to more than 15000 projects. About 1300 reporters, 200 medias from home and abroad covered the progress of the fair. The number of visitors is up to 506 thousand. ‘Entrepreneurship, innovation, development,’ was the theme of the fair consisting of 6 parts: ‘Trade for New and Hi-tech Products’, ‘Exhibition of Specialized Hi-tech Products’, ‘Forum’, ‘super-SUPER Meets’, ‘Recruit for New’ and ‘Forever Fair’, which highlighted the technology and the achievements in the fields of information, biology, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, astronautics and aviation, marine economy.

The China-Europe GNSS Technology Training and Cooperation Center (CENC) attended the exhibition by the subject ‘China-EU Galileo Project Cooperation’. The displays illustrated the Galileo Program, China and Galileo Program, and gave introductions on the project, CENC, the IOV Conference, latest news, the European Union Framework Program, and reviewed the training activities. The eight-section exhibition tried to explain to the visitors what Galileo Programme was and the implication of China’s participation, the current status of Galileo system, the cooperation and exchange between China and Europe, the responsibility and fulfillment of the role of CENC in China-EU cooperation project. Brochures and reference books rich in contexts and illustrations available at the CENC counter were helpful for people from all walks of life to understand ‘China EU cooperation on the Galileo Programme’ and to promote future communication.
