Dear Friends, 

The two latest FP6 calls have now been published (see: http://www.cordis.lu): 
- Nanotechnologies, materials, production processes (deadlines on 17 March and 15 September 2005) 
- Citizens and Governance (deadline on 13 April 2005) 

Nuclear Research: 
- the good news is that Minister Xu Guanhua and EU Commissioner Potocnik have yesterday signed the EU-China agreement on nuclear research (it is in today's newspapers). This agreement officially opens the FP6 nuclear research to Chinese partners. The next call for nuclear research will be published in Spring 2005. You can download the latest work programme from http://www.cordis.lu/fp6/find-doc.htm. A new version of the workprogramme will be published before the next call.

Fellowships: 
- If you are applying for a Marie Curie Incoming or Outgoing Fellowship, you can find a new handbook published on the WWW.cordis.lu website together with the call. It gives useful information for the deadline of 19 January 2005.

- A lot of Chinese applications were rejected at the last Marie-Curie Fellowship call. If you were rejected, I encourage you to apply again. The program budget has been increased and it is possible to apply for a second time.

Partner Searches: 
- please publish your partner search profile in CORDIS. Especially the very big IST call should give many opportunities of collaboration.

- publishing of partner searches is easy now. You can send your profile on one page to Mr. Li Ning of CECO (email: ceco@ceco.org.cn).

- it is useful to write your partner search profile on one pages with the following scheme: (1) Title (2) Call name; (3) Research interest (what you wish to do in the project); (4) Collaboration interest (what the other partners should do in the project); (5) Institute description (name and short description of your laboratory); (6) your contact address.

- you can find a lot of expressions of interest (http://eoi.cordis.lu/search_form.cfm) or partner searches (http://fp6.cordis.lu/fp6/partners.cfm) for the open calls.
