FP7 Info Day was held in Beijing on 16 February 2009

Supported by National Remote Sensing Center of China (NRSCC) and European GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA), China Europe GNSS Technology Training and Cooperation Center (CENC) held The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) Info Day in Ziyu Hotel, Beijing, China on Feb. 16th, 2009. Mr. Boris Kennes, officer in charge of Galileo Application from GSA delivered a presentation on Galileo FP7 2nd call. About 180 participants from more than 60 institutions and enterprises of China took part in the meeting. Mr. Boris Kennes presented the growing of Galileo and EGNOS programmes in Europe and their effect in China firstly. Mr. Kennes introduced that the demand of Galileo and EGNOS programmes had a rapid increase from different application areas. There are more and more potential projects developed by European and Chinese institutions and enterprises jointly. Then, he showed up the main results of Galileo FP7 1st call, including evaluation comments. Meanwhile, he emphasized the importance of Galileo FP7 2nd call, especially focused on rules of participation for participants from China, who had much interest in kinds of project on Galileo and EGNOS programmes. The project topics cover many sorts of navigation fields, such as GNSS applications, professional receivers, tenders including simulators, standardization and frequency support, and international activities. Finally, after Mr. Boris Kennes’s presentations, the attendees asked many questions about FP7 application procedures, budget etc. Mr. Kennes had an enthusiastic discussion with them. _Img style="WIDTH: 774px; HEIGHT: 802px" height=1533 src="http://121.28.24.203:90/Portal/File/2009-05-13-15-06-23.JPG" width=2046 border=0> In the morning of 17th Feb, the meeting of detailed discussion on FP7 was held in CENC. Most of the institutions and enterprises attended the Info Day are very interested in the FP7. They are also deeply looking forward to communicating with European partners in market. They truly appreciated the cooperation between Europe and China. The CENC will try their best to help Chinese institutes to solve the problems they might meet during the application processes. |
