Europe-Asia satellite navigation enterprises cooperation conference, SIDEREUS 2008, which was organized by EU and presented by England, Germany, Spain, Italy, India, Singapore and China, was successfully hold in Beijing Xiangshan Hotel on Nov. 26^th, 2008. More than 150 satellite navigation organizations or enterprises participated in this conference. About 90 Chinese companies and 40 foreign companies communicated with each other and some of them achieved cooperation agreement. Recently, they already had applied some navigation projects together.

To continue provide similar chances for navigation enterprises, EU decided to hold second SIDEREUS conference in Rome, Italy on June 11^th, 2009. More than 60 enterprises were invited to present this conference and a few Chinese companies likely to join it in this summer.

Based on requirements of EU, in order to gain achievement for Chinese enterprises in Italy in June, China Consulting Association and China Galileo Industries organized a SIDEREUS workshop, supported by NRSCC in CENC on April 23^rd, 2009. The participants of this workshop were specific satellite navigation companies’ representatives who had strong interest to present communication conference in Italy. NRSCC director, navigation experts and related corporation managers gave kinds of professional presentations on navigation field and discussed with participants.

The topics of the presentation given by professional experts in this workshop included the chances and challenges of Galileo Programme, the Compass II development status, the development and trend of global navigation industry, international business negotiation skills, and the copyright protection of international cooperation and satellite navigation. According to these introductions, they provided much help for the companies’ representatives to understand development trend of satellite navigation industry, new navigation technology and business negotiation skills and to promote their international cooperation abilities that were able to well perform strong functions in Rome communication conference in June.

China Consulting Association and China Galileo Industries were preparing to present this conference and invited 15 Chinese satellite navigation companies’ representatives to participate together.
