A few days ago, First China GNSS product certificaton center had been unveiled, which marked a new era of GNSS produc certification. Officials from MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of People’s Republic of China), CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administraiton of People’s Republic of China), NRSCC (National Remote Sensing Center of China), Hebei Development and Reform Commission，Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province, China Certificatoin & Accreditation Association, CETC (China Electronics Technology Group Corporation), CETC54 (the 54th Research Institute of CETC), and other government and enterprise representatives had attended the Unveiling ceremony in Beijing.

In recent years, GNSS-enabled products have been widely applied. Perticularly, satellite navigation business booms in China. And market conditions of GNSS product certification are maturing. GNSS product certification is critical for customer applications. Customers can obtain high-quality product, manufacturers can optimize their entire value creation chain. Moreover, certification is also a key to international GNSS market.

GNSS Product Certification Center, operated by CETC54, is the first organization for GNSS product certification in China approved by CNCA.

Mr. Han Jun, Department of Science and Technology of MIIT, pointed out on the unveiling ceremony that GNSS technology and service is booming in China and GNSS certification is an effective approach to improve product and service quality and management level. Han also expressed his hope that CETC54 should take this chance to promote GNSS product certification, detection and validation capability and help GNSS manufacturers enhance their product quality and competivity. Addtionally, Han expressed that MIIT, CNCA and other government departments would work together to promote regulation and standardization on GNSS certification, as well as to support and pilot the operation of GNSS Product Certificaiton Center.

CETC54 officials expressed that they would strictly observe all relevant legal requirements, convince with constant quality, and meet customer expectations. At the same time, with CETC54’s versatility and expertise, they would help customr save time and reduce costs, as well as reduce risk and increase market share.

CETC54, headquatered in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province in China, about 200 km south of Beijing, is a state-owned institution having undertaken thousands of government and commercial projects in satellite navigation, communication, tracking, telemetry and control.
