ZHANG Guocheng

Graduated from Internal Combustion Engine Specialty, Tianjin University in 1977，and Dip. from Energy Division, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in 1988 in Bangkok, Thailand.

He was an Engineer engaged in scientific research on diesel engine and renewable energy equipment in Energy Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agriculture Mechanization Sciences from 1977 to 1982.

He was a Program Officer, Deputy Director and Director of Energy Division, Department of Industrial Technology, State Science and Technology Commission(SSTC) from 1983 to 1998.

He was Deputy Director-General, Torch High Technology Industry Development Center, MOST, Deputy Director-General, Administration Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park. in Beijing and Deputy Director-General, Administration Center for Innovation Fund for Small Technology-Based Firms, MOST from 1998 to 2004.

He was Executive Director-General and Deputy Director-General of National Remote Sensing Center of China, MOST from 2004 to 2006.

He is Director-General of National Remote Sensing Center of China, MOST from 2006 till now.
